Just wondering if anyone has tried the new Griffin RoadTrip with Smart Scan (2008) (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/roadtrip#) that just came out. It is rather pricey at $99 and just wondered if anyone has tried it yet.

I know there a better solutions than FM transmitters, but I'm technically challenged and looking for the easy way out. I used the snap on top iTrip with my old Mini and worked ok most of the time but could be frustrating. The all-in-one mount, play and charge is very appealing with what I hope will be easy access to the touch. I really love my ipod touch but don't feel really safe fumbling around with it while I'm driving. Currently using sticky pad and tape deck adaptor. :shake:

Thanks for any feedback~

Well, I'm using the Griffin AutoPilot, which is the cabled version of the RoadTrip. The internal technology used is exactly the same -- only the physical design differs.

As FM transmitters go, I find the sound quality to be quite good, and everywhere that I've used it thus far, the Smart Scan feature has pretty much worked as advertised in finding a clear station that is usable.

Yeah, wondered about this one too but dosen't have the mounting option. Have also considered ProClips for mounting but that gets pricey as well. Hey, thanks for your feedback.
