Jailbreaking questions

My iPhone is 1.1.3, which I updated when 1.1.3 was released. I'm thinking of jailbreaking it. I have recently added some web apps as they were released recently. If I jailbreak the phone can I still have multi home screens ( I think that would be how to describe multi-screens of icons), anyway can I still do this with the jailbreak.

Also there are so many sites that describe jailbreaking, where should I start?
