help please!!

hello everyone,

i'm new here, as just bought a new 15 gig Pod, which i'm in love with :)

i had already 3000 songs on it, using EphPod, PC, Win XP.

now last nite my girlfriend hooked it up to her Mac, she says iTunes saw the songs, but she couldnt do nothing more. After that all songs disappeared, the Pod still sees the titles and all the tag info, but doesn't play the songs, and says in "About" that the capacity is 14 gig, so the drive is empty.
i rushed home to see whats up, but my pc doesn't see the Pod anymore. i connect with firewire, but it never recognizes it.

What happened is she probably had sync enabled. So it sync'd w/her Mac, wiping your tunes off.

Now, ephpod probably won't work because iTunes left your iPod database in a state it doesn't like. But before we get these we have to get the darn thing recognized by you PC.

That's quite a mystery......

Can you get the Updater to recognize it? Start the Updater w/o the iPod connected, then connect it...see what happens...

Might also want to try forced firewire mode (do a reset, then press FF and Rew at the Apple Logo.

tried all that you said, but cannot get it connected to the pc

i got her Mac now, and sync my Pod with that, hoping after that my pc will see it, and i can restore the whole thing
