iPhone silicone grip only

Does anyone make a silicone case (well not really a case but a grip) that provides a grip for the edges without covering either the front or the back?

I don't care about protecting the unit, only about being able to hold it securely in my hands. I love the glass front and don't want to cover any of it - even the non-screen area at top (around phone speaker) and bottom (around Home button).

My ideal grip would just be a frame, a rectangle of ridged silicone, that would fit around the phone's edges.

Lacking that, I could accept a case that covers the back while leaving the front open.

I've never seen anything quite what you are looking for. I think the closest would be the iSkin.

try egrips (http://egrips.com/). i've never used them, but have heard good things about them, and they are supposed to be able to removed without leaving any residue. you can buy the iphone-specific set or generic strips to apply wherever you want.
