Ok, you will all probably think I'm an idiot but I don't really 'get' podcasts. I have only just got my first iPod (touch) and consider myself quite computer savy but can't seem to get podcasts on my iPod.
My iPod came with the Hancock movie trailer on it but after syncing it, for whatever reason it was wiped from my iPod although stays in my iTunes podcast section under Apple Trailers.
I've tried getting trailers from http://www.apple.com/trailers/ but whenever I click the iPod link on these trailers nothing happens.
Can anyone explain podcasts to me and what I can do to get them on my iPod. Thanks!

A “podcast” is a buzzword to describe a very simple concept: an audio or video file available on the Internet for you to listen to and/or watch. A podcast can also refer to a series of these audio or video files (similar to how a TV or radio “show” can be a series of shows or just one show). When using the word “podcast”, most people refer to the entire series and not just one audio or video file.
Also your Trailer would have been wiped when you first Synced your iPod because you Didn't select "Transfer Purchases" from the File Menu as It would have been an iTunes Purchase. Remember, if you remove something from your iTunes Library it will also delete it from your iPod upon Next Sync.

You might want to tell Apple that as all my downloaded trailers appear in the podcast section of iTunes :)

One of my Friends has a Similar issue with TV Shows purchased from the iTunes store and He contacted apple, whose response was: Upgrade to a Newer Version of iTunes.
That seemed to have Solved the Problem; Granted this is not Imported Media.
