Hey I was wondering if anyone else has this popup. When you finish syncing your ipod a popup comes up saying "some of the videos in your itunes library cannot be played on the ipod." It is for my podcasts videos only not my videos. Can i fix this problem or is it the podcasts and its videos settings which is the problem? Also some videos for the podcasts works but then some dont so im thinking its the setup of some of the videos.
Thanks

Hi and welcome to iLounge.
What are the specific podcasts you're having problems with?
Most likely, the issue is that these podcasts are simply not distributed in an iPod-compatible format. Many video podcasts are distributed for playback through iTunes, and some are even encoded at a higher quality for the Apple TV. They are not necessarily iPod compatible.
Further, I've found that even with some podcasts that are generally iPod-compatible, the occasional episode slips through that isn't.

Thanks. Yea i think your right. Some work but then some dont for the same podcasts. Is there a way to fix this? Some podcasts that the videos cant be copied from are Discovery channel, Monkey box sketch comedy, and nike football.

Well, you can convert individual episodes into a more iPod-compatible format yourself by right-clicking on the episodes in question and choosing "Convert for iPod" from the context menu.
As a more long-term solution, however, it might not be a bad idea to offer some feedback to the podcast creator to let them know that not all of their episodes are coming out in an iPod-ready format. Perhaps they can change their encoding methods to improve compatibility.

Yes, I too, have had this problem. When I did the conversion of (Vintage Videos) they would play on the iPod but the sound was not there, only scratchy noise. The videos with a lower bit rate were the culprits. The higher bit rated videos were alright. All played using the Apple video.
