View Full Version : Cannot Buy January Upgrade

Hey everyone,
I am desperately trying to buy the new 19.99 january upgrade in the itunes store, but I cant! Whenever I click on the January Upgrade link, it takes me to this page in the itunes store and there is no "buy now" button anywhere to be found, only an "OK" button at the bottom of the screen that just takes me back to the home page when clicked on.

Before you tell me what everyone else already has, i have already done the following:
I have downloaded and installed itunes 7.6.
I have updated my ipod touch to version 1.1.3.
I am using the computer I have always used.
I have restarted my computer and tried.
I have re-downloaded itunes 7.6 and reinstalled it.
I have disconnected my ipod from my computer while in the itunes store, and reconnected.
I have used the link from apple.com that opens itunes automatically.
AND I STILL CANT BUY THE UPDATE!!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!

I am guessing that there is something wrong with the iTunes store. Wait until tomorrow to try the download again. The iTunes Store isn't always fully operational as Apple is always adding new content throughout the week. I remember once that it took a week for them to add a new album in the iTunes Plus format. iTunes kept trying to re-download it over and over again until it finally went through.

Go to the update page itself. When you at the page that keeps giving you the OK button, unplug your iPod Touch from the computer and then plug it back in.

You have to do this on the update page, not on the iTunes music store home page.

I will keep trying....
However, I do not have the itunes plus, just regular.
And I have tried to do so everyday for the last 3 or 4
days.

I have unplugged and replugged on the january update page.... several times....

Are you logged into the store? That's the only other thing I can think of.

Everyone has access to the iTunes Plus store in the U.S.. These are songs encoded without DRM and at the 256kbps bitrate. iTunes Plus is not a certain type of software. I was simply stating that when they launched the iTunes Plus store, it took a week for my download to go through so sometimes you just have to be patient.

I had a similar problem. Try going to "Advanced" and "Authorize Computer"

Worked for me and to others I have recommended.
