I have an iPod Touch and I just bought one for my wife. Can we have 2 iPods on our account? Is there a way for each to have it's own music/movies/pics/etc.?
One last question. If I buy the 5 new Apps... can I load them on both iPods or do I have to pay twice?

Each iPod will be recognized by iTunes as a different iPod with it's own sync settings. I use 3 different iPods on the same computer syncing each one to it's own set of playlists, except the iPod video that gets almost everything. I also have a 1G nano that I experiment with using the same iTunes on the same computer.
I would set up a folder of playlists on iTunes to sync each iPod to. You could then set the iPods to sync to selected playlists. You should familiar yourself with the sync settings since you can also select individual podcasts and videos for each touch.
It would be my guess that the new apps are tied to the serial number of the iPod so I doubt if you will be able to use it on both.

You can use you apps on both those iPod's, so long as you have those iPod set to the same user account!

You have a Mac, right? If I remember correctly, Apple does not officially support syncing multiple iPods with one Windows computer.

That's good to know.

According to Apple (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61713) it will work, but there may be problems. They recommend ejecting one before connecting the other. But they will still retain separate sync settings for each iPod. It is my guess they have had reports of iTunes getting confused with multiple iPods connected and syncing at the same time.
I do have a Mac which is my primary computer, but I also have a WinXP PC I experiment with. That's not to say Vista doesn't have some issues with this as well. Apple may not "officially" support multiple iPods but that does not mean it will not work. It would just mean they may not help you if you have problems related to syncing 2 iPods. I'm sure there are lots of folks here using multiple iPods on Windows PCs.

Very true. I did not mean to imply that it would never work. Just that you may be on your own if you run into problems. Or Apple's stand may simply be that they don't support multiple iPods connected to a single Windows computer simultaneously. I did not read the fineprints. :shake:

My son and I both have an IPod Touch and we both have 30G 5G Ipod Video as well.
I use a Windows XP machine and we sync all four Ipods to Itunes in this PC, all on one user account.
We each have our own music, movies, etc on our respective Ipods.
Also, I purchased the $20 apps upgrade for my Ipod Touch. The next time my son synced his Ipod Touch to Itunes, it picked up the new apps as well. So for us, the four new apps were $10 for each of us.
