WiFi network selections while in safari??

I was at a local grocery store, and had my touch. I had the wifi on, because I checck the email and browse while on the go...however today for the first time, I was at the store, and I opened up safari, and on my screen was a popup for wifi networks, and it had a menu similar to if you pushed the home button twice while on the homescreen and the music popup appears.

I was curious, was I just seeing things, or can this be done...I search Apple's pdf manual but couldnt find reference, and search 6 pages of an forums search, with no specific result.

Any help is appreciated.

I think it does that automatically when it disconnects from a hotspot. it just asks you to connect to another source.

if wifi network changes around environment, touch pop up window, and shows available network you can choose from. then what you have to do is selection.
