Just bought one at the Apple store, already have a Agent18 Eco-Shield like the sleekness of it but I don't think the phone will take a drop very well, especially on the corners. I have the Crystal Support screen protector on the phone so I wanted something that would fit with the film on. Walked into the apple store and popped the phone into a Showcase, which didn't close completely. The Showcase hinges on the back, where the Hardskin back separates leaving about 1/5 of the back covered and the remainder slides off. The case is a hard plastic internal liner covered with a rubberized exterior. Unlike other rubberized cases this one does not seem to stick when you are putting it in and removing it from your pants pocket. It feels solid on the iPhone, and secure. It allows access all of the controls, ports and camera but not the sim card. It is dockable in the universal dock without an insert, which to me is a huge benefit. I don't want to remove the iPhone (or any iPod for that matter) from the case to dock it. In order to attach an iTrip (or other similar accessory) you would need to remove the case, but there isn't an iTrip or similar product that works with the iPhone currently available. So it's not really an issue yet, and I'm keeping the Eco-Shield which will allow accessories to connect.

The case does come with a holster, which I'm not a fan of holsters but this one seems secure. It looks like the clip should rotate, it isn't obvious how to rotate it and feels like it will snap off.

It comes in Tangerine (which matched the fiance's jacket perfectly) or bright green and supposedly in black (on some european sites).

All in all I'd say the case is an A-
Pros: gives good protection, latches securely, dockable
Cons: Colors available, adds a little more bulk than I'd like.

Contour Gripe:
When I contacted Contour via email they're response was that the case is available in black, but it's called the Showcase. When I replied concerning the distinct differences between the two cases it fell of deaf ears. That's my one complaint about Contour's customer service, lack of product knowledge.
