here's a quick view of my problem: got an ipod 8gb. this problem escalated from me trying to resolve a coverflow problem (cover art doesnt show in ipod even if cover art is embedded in the mp3 files). i was using yamipod to fix the problem but ended up with my ipod not recognizing the files inside the device.
i tried sychronizing again with iTunes but iTunes doesnt recognize the database. it is instructing me to get an restore using iTunes. my XP machine is disconnected from the net. im using a win2000 at the office but third gen nanos require a higher version of iTunes which in turn does not work with windows 2000.
so my question would be, how do i go about restoring the iPod without using an active net connection? :confused: bring back my music, please~! :o
