I just purchased a Belking Remix metal case for my new ipod nano but I cannot figure out how to open the case to be able to insert my ipod. Does any one know if it opens like a book or does the top slide off? I don't want to froce it open & chance breaking it. There are no directions on the box or inside.Thanks.

I have this case and I love it! just stick your finger in the bottom hole and pop it off and the front will come off complety then put your iPod in and snap the front back on!

i saw this case in a store last night (i live in Australia) and have a few questions about it....

- does the case have a screen protector built-in or is there just a gap where the screen is? i heard with the slightly recessed screen, "static" shields don't adhere properly without air bubbles forming.
- does it come with any clickwheel/back shields? i'm not so concerned about protecting the clickwheel but more so protecting the back of the nano. i heard the biscuits come with these but i guess it wouldn't be such a big thing to buy a back shield seperately.
- if the nano is in the clear case with no shields on the ipod, does it get scratched from the case at all?
- does anyone find much lint/dirt build-up under the case?
- does the case fit in most docks? i have an ipod alarm clock and wouldn't want to be continuously taking the case off to dock it.
- and lastly, is it a nice tight non-bulky fit?

sorry i have so many questions but before i shell out AU$30 for something, i want to be sure it'll suit what i want from a case.

thank you! :)

The case provides (almost) complete coverage - the screen is protected by hard, clear acrylic and the click-wheel is protected by a thin plastic insert which is glued to the inside of the case by the manufacturer. The only area which is not covered by the case is the dock connector area on the bottom.

It doesn't come with any accessories so WYS (in the box) is WYG.

I haven't noticed any scratches form the case itself, I believe this case would be less prone to scratching the iPod than the Switcheasy biscuits, since the iPod is placed inside the case as opposed to the biscuits, where the back cover is slid over the iPod.

I have noticed a lot of dust/dirt/lint buildup in the area where the case meets the clickwheel protector (this does not affect the iPod). The protector is basically glued in there, and there's a nice big overlapping area where dirt can get stuck in. As far as it looks the only way to get this out properly is to wash the case.

I'm not sure if this case would fit with docks, but personally, I wouldn't want to be opening and closing this case a few times a day. It's somewhat difficult to pry this case open.

thank you so much for your informative response liron :)

i agree about the not wanting to take the case on and off all the time to dock the ipod. looking at my dock though i think it should fit ok.

I have one of these and to answer your questions about docking: Yes - it fits all of the dock-based bits I have.

It adds some bulk, but I find that's quite nice on the new Nano (which is SO small).

I find this case to be the best case I have used (I have a couple of my Gen3 and had a few for my Gen2).
