i looked in the itunes store but it dosent say "but it" it just shows me what it is and what it does, were does it say buy it?

do you mean the new applications for the iPod touch, or the new firmware (1.1.3) - the new firmware reminder pops up when you connect your iPod touch.

there's a message that tells you that you need to connect your iPod touch first....

I had the same problem and couldnt understand why it wouldn't work as I had uploaded the 1.1.3 software on my touch. I realized that I hadn't been running Itunes 7.6. Make sure you've installed.

yup, i figured it out right after i made the post lol
i had to update my itunes wich took hella long
