Hey, i just had a quick question.
the ical / calendar is not editable on the ipod touch. does anyone know if the new apple update ($20, free for new ones) allows you to add an event ON your ipod touch? and NOT JUST on your mac's ical program?
i hope so... cuz if it allows you to make notes and do email, that would be stupid if you can't add an even so that the ipod touch is more like a pda.
thanks for any input!

This feature was added many weeks ago, when the 1.1.2 firmware first became available.

Correct, editable calendar app was introduced with the LAST firmware update. Sounds like you're 2 behind, now. ;)

actually, i'm a whole ipod behind. i have a 5g, and i've been out of the loop since my 5g still works well. the whole calendar thing really irked me when it first came out, so i'm really glad they fixed it!
i REALLY want an iphone, but i have verizon, and too many people i know have verizon, so i can't make the switch. plus i love verizon's service.
so if the ipod touch is so much more functional now than before, i'll just keep my current cell phone, buy an ipod touch, take them together, and bam! my own cell phone!
maybe i should get a really thin razr or slvr to make it even more impressive....
thanks for the help, everyone.
have you guys updated?

I have not been able to sync new events entered in my iPOD touch with my laptop. It works okay going from the laptop to my iPOD. I am running Leopard and iPOD 1.1.3.
Does anyone have the same problem?
Does anyone have any suggestion?

If you have a 5G iPod, what are you doing posting in the iPod Touch forum?
If you don't want to leave Verizon, just get a Blackberry and be done with it.
