Yep, fortunately mine is alright. But i've seen about ten to fifteen different iPod touch's and with two thirds of them the unlit grey border surrounding the screen isn't centered. Either it's wider at the top, bottom, or one side. have a look at yours in bright light and see. Sure this sounds like just another iPod touch whine, but if the glass itself, metal trim and backing plate are all precision made and fit together perfectly, then why is it possible that the physical placement of the screen itself can (so often) be off? Actually it's not just limited to touches, look at any 4G, 5G, or nano and usually the black border around the screen isn't even on each side either. It's interesting that there's such a loose tolerance for screen placement.
