I just bought and 80gb classic and I was looking for a case and it is between the shades cases or the marware sportgrip. From anyone who has tried either, or both, what are the pros and cons about each one.
Particularly:
I know that the dock works with the shades but what about the marware.
Scroll wheel sensitivity
And anything else
Thanks

I had a shadescase for my 80gb classic and found the case to be mediocre at best, certainly not as good as I had hoped. Case is a one piece soft plastic sock that you need to squeeze the ipod into, if you don't succeed in getting your ipod into the case in the first try, look forward to a battle of trying to get the air bubbles out from between the screen and the case. When I finally succeeded in getting the case on, big bubbles made the screen difficult to see. scroll wheel sensitivity is not very good with the case on. I had difficulties scrolling with this case on.:o
Dock was only accessible if you pry open the bottom a little, not that big a deal.
Removing the case is no picnic either, impossible to remove the case without ripping the case at the seams. This case will protect your ipod from getting scratches but won't give your ipod much protection from a fall. All in all, the case looks better on their website than it does in real life, the only thing going for it was it's relatively lower price point.
Good luck!

I could only recommend the marware sports grip. very humble, great shock resistance, feels very smooth and nice in the hand.
however it DOES get alot of dust if you want the black version, if placed in dusty places.
i don't have a dock, so I wouldn't know about that.
but if you want something that can take a good drop, go for the marware.
