Alpine 9883 for $145 through 1/19/08

I just purchased the Alpine 9883 from Best Buy. They have it on sale for $145 and is regularly priced at $205. This is a nice unit and easy to navigate and read the screen for searches in your iPod. The sound from the iPod connection from the head unit is far superior to the FM transmitter I was using. If anyone is thinking of getting a head unit with an iPod connection, get the 9883 at BB at this great price.

Well, if you are comparing it to FM, ANYTHING is an improvement.

If u have more $ though, read through the new USB direct connect units like the X001 and make up your mind after that. Better yet, go somewhere where u can play with both.
