View Full Version : Interesting problem adding to playlist

Whenever I add certain songs to a playlist, MM duplicates
the file, so the same song appears twice in the song list. Like
I said, it only does this sometimes. If I try to delete the duplicate,
it also deletes the song in the playlist leaving the original in the
song list.???
Anyone encounter this same problem??

dang, i use to have a thread explaining step by step on how to create a playlist without making duplications. but it was apparently lost. basically you should be adding music to your playlist with songs already in the ipod - don't use "add music" because it will add songs from the library and create duplicates if the same songs are already in the ipod.

I have the same problem. I have not checked to see if the files are duplicated, but a song might turn up two or more times in the same playlist.
I "design" the playlists in MMJB and then sync them to the iPod.
I did not have that problem in MMJB v. 7.x.
I am not sure the problem would be solved by adding iPod-only songs.
Any suggestions? (And yes, I am running iTunes at the moment to get around the problem - but I do prefere MMJB!!!)
