Is there anyway of increasing the volume on my ipod thru m car?

Hi,
i've fitted a lead connecting my ipod (nano) to my car stereo. But its a lot quieter than when i played CD's. Is there any way of increasing the volume?
Appreciate it if someone could help me.

I use a Drive+Play in my car with a nano (1st gen nano) and it always seemed too soft on volume for me too. I'd play acoustic songs for instance and they'd be way too quite so i'd have to crank up my stereo volume and be sure to crank it way down before switching to radio or cd.

But...

then I got an ipod touch... the touch outputs almost double the amount of volume my nano ever did

so i know im not much help but i dunno, maybe u might consider an upgrading to a new ipod?
