I've had the IDA-X001 since May, and have not had any problems with it. I had been encoding all of my CDs in AAC format at 255 kbps 44.100 and things worked fine. Recently, I decided to go with a higher quality file, and have ripped my last 2 cds at 325 kbps and 48.000 kHz. Now, There is a lot of popping and vinyl style static when I play these tracks back on the IDA-X001, which I don't have on the others. Looking around the documentation and Alpine's website, there is no mention about whether or not that is a supported format (it just says it has an AAC decoder). Any suggestions besides going back to the other settings?

I'm using 320 Kbps VBR / 44khz MP3 files with no problems. 320 kbps is the maximum rate specified in the documentation.

I've got a couple albums that pop too when played through the X001. Maybe it has something to do with the 48khz encoding?
