Hi,
its time i actually looked into getting earphones that sound good! haha, im a music fanatic, but im tight and always go for cheaper ,eBay or amazong options.
im after a set of earphones that have descent bass, clar sound and fit nice.
ive looked at the ER4, ER6, Shure E2C's and i have a few questions and looking for advice.
i like the reviews of the E2'cs BUT, i dont think im gunna like the cord going round my ears, i think that will drive me crazy, id like a set of descent headphones thathang like a normal pair prefferably.
im looking to spend undr £50, and ive seen some ER6's for around £40 but im really not sure what i want. i have fairly large ears so i dont want small, tiny earphones but im after a nice comfortable set that i can wear for quite a while without them annoying me. with ym current sony earphones my left ear fits it fien and ig et plenty bass but my right ear seems smaller or doesnt hear bass as well because i get only treble reall y ni that ear and it doesnt fit in as wella s my left ear does...but saying that...these headphones are awefull. £10 at the most!
any advice, opinions?
thanks

I have the Shure Ec3. You do not have to put the cord over your ear. I think the Ec3 are great
Piano Man
I like the ER6i's for sound but they can get uncomfortable after several hours of continuous use.
As an aside, your post was very difficult to read because of all the typos & misspellings. It's easier to help you when you are more clear.

ok yes it was typed in a bit of a hurry because iw as going out but wanted to give the msot possible time for a reply :D
im looking at ER6i's at the moment aswell as ultimate ears Superfi 3 earphones.
any advice or experience with those?
Like I said, ER6i's are great - they get a good clean sound (no enhanced bass, however, so some interpret it a "cold" sound) but you really need to try a few sets of eartips - if you're wearing the wrong ones they can get uncomfortable. The customer service is really great, though, so getting a couple samples to try is no problem.

ahh right. ive found a set of black ER6i's for £45 (GBP) which seems really good.
Whats the difference between ER6i's and standard er6's?
if i were to change my EQ on my ipod clasci to bass boost, what would the bass be like then? i do like a bit of bass but im not a bass freak who likes to burst their eardrums haha.
would you reccomend them for a first tiem 'isolating in ear headphone' buyer?

I personally use Shure E2c's for the sound isolation mainly. Thery are awesome, and very comfortable. You get used the cords very quicky.
The difference between the er6 and the er6i is the i version is designed for ipod use. The ipedance is slightly less and/or the sensitivity is higher. So they sound louder through an mp3 player.
I am currently looking at the new JVC aluminium Fx300 they look a bit like the Shure E2C's but more bling. Not sure if the isolation will be as good though.

They were my first isolating earphones and I love them. Personally, the sound is great for me so it's hard to make judgments regarding the bass, but if you do a search you'll find plenty of complaints about how these "lack bass". Ultimately, you'll have to just bite the bullet and make a decision, since unfortunately you can't try them in advance. (wouldn't that be nice, though?)

Hi,
ive ordered some and im getting them tomorrow i missed the post and theyahd to be signed for) so im pikcing them up tomorrow and will see what its like for myself :D
anyadvice for the first time isolating headphone user?
The most important thing is to look at the instructions and learn how to put them in properly. Getting good sound depends on having a good "seal". You can tell they're in properly when you feel a little suction when you tug on it (gently). It's a little awkward to do at first but you'll get it down after a couple of trials. Let us know how you like 'em!

i have one question about the warranty though...i know its a year but these were form ebay so do i have a valid 1 year warranty and is there a way to check what date it was originally purchased on?
thanks
Congrats on your new buds! I'm glad you like them and that you didn't have to fiddle too much to get a good seal. As far as the warranty question, I have no idea. Anybody?
