Well, I got the game Phase for my iPod. I put all my songs into the Phase playlist and now when I try and go to play them it says songs must be encoded in iTunes. What does this mean and how do I do it? I wa sreally excited for Phase!

Did you create the Phase playlist manually, or are you using the playlist that was automatically created by iTunes when you downloaded and installed Phase?
The automatically-created one should always appear at the top of the Playlists (despite the alphabetical sort order), and should be labelled "Phase Music"
Also ensure that the "Phase Music" playlist is selected for synchronization to your iPod if you're using automatic sync with selected playlists, or that you've transferred it over manually if using manual sync.
If you are using the standard iTunes-created one, try removing the songs from it, restarting iTunes, and then re-adding them again to force iTunes to re-analyze those tracks.

The playlist needs to go through an analyzing process before the songs can be used.
Also limit the number of songs in the list. It's not necessarily meant to take your entire library depending on the size of it.
If you didn't see an "analyzing phase information" when you added songs to the playlist, I suggest you erase from the playlist, add some songs back, make sure it analyzes them, then resync the playlist to your iPod.
Good luck.

I've notice that iTunes analyzes the Phase information of songs added to the Phase Music playlist when the songs are added via drag-and-drop. I added one song to the playlist via the context menu ([Right-click] Add to Playlist > Phase Music) and tried to play it in Phase, but it couldn't.
Removing the song and adding it via drag-and-drop solved that problem.
