Okay so I brought these phones on Saturday and I was wondering how long till it actually sinks in i still have my Skullcandy Smokin Buds andthey have WAY more bass than the super.fi 3 Studio so idk whether to return them or wait a bit longer?
Have you inserted them properly? Got seal?
A better headphone dose not mean that it should have better bass.

Yeah I did seal them properly. The thing is that it slowly increases the bass which is kind of annoying at times.

Well, a weak bass is one of the shortfalls of balanced armature drivers - unless it has a dedicated driver for handling the bass like the expensive ones. Super.fi 3 just doesn't have a very strong bass. Besides balanced armarture technology wasn't really developed for headphones - it has been used for it's clarity in hearing aids and military communication where bass is not very important. If you want isolation and bass you might want to have a look at Sennheiser's CX-range. I'm using my CX 500's way more than my super.fi 3's because they deliver more bass and are way more comfortable. The trade-in is a little less isolation (I could just change the tips) and less clarity in the mids and highs.
