Stupid question about dock....

Ok, I'm probably going to regret this but....

do you have to buy the dock for the mini? i feel that i've already spent enough (ipod + armband...:rolleyes: ) and i wasn't sure if i had to buy the dock to sync...

i'm guessing i don't have to buy it other than for coolness factors- can someone verify?

Yeah, its basically only used for the coolness factor and a line-out if you really need it. I'd skip it if I were you, not worth the money.

I'm using my 40G iPod's dock with the new silver iPod mini I picked up today... works fine. Doesn't fit tight so I imagine there's the possibility that the connector suffers from the slightest bit of weight from the mini's lean-back. But I'm glad I didn't buy a mini dock since this appears to be doing fine.

My poor 40G has been ousted from its throne. This thing is awesome.

well, you could always have you mini and "old school" fight to the death for the prestigious throne...lol, jk. :cool:
