Here's what I'm looking for: I'd like to get a car mount that plugs into the cigarette lighter of my truck to charge my 3G Nano. My truck has an AUX jack that I currently use by connecting through the headphone jack of the iPod. The charger/car mount combos I've been coming across all have the bottom of the iPod covered where the headphone jack is, and the only ones I can find that relocate that jack are the ones with the long goose necks on them. Because of where my power outlet is located, having one of those mounts with the goose neck would look ridiculous. Oh, and I'm not interested in hard wiring the iPod into the truck, and I don't like the quality of even the best FM transmitters. Does anyone know of what I'm looking for?

Again, to summarize, here's what I'm looking for:

A car mount that does not have a goose neck, which plugs into the power outlet, and has access to the 3G Nano headphone jack or relocates this jack so it's accessible.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for that link. It's not quite what I'm looking for at the moment, but if what I want ends up not existing, I'll certainly be interested in that ProClip. Kinda expensive though.

For best sound quality, you should get audio signal directly from the dock rather than the headphone's jack. Many docks have a single iPod hookup then branches out into power and audio-out.

So with that in mind, would the unit hook into the iPod via the dock connector, and then connect to my vehicle through the power outlet and the aux in jack in my truck that is only able to accept a headphone-style cord? I just want to make sure I'm understanding correctly.
