Hi all I am looking for some earphones for my ipod touct now i have done alot of looking and found that these seem to be the best of the bunch.

I am looking for good quality sound which all the below do offer but i seem to be at that stage on which ones to get out of these sets.

I own a set of Sennheiser cx300 at the moment and want to improve on these, also my friend has just bought some bang & olufsen a8 which i found great but i like ear plugs which these are not and was woundering if the below headsets are much much better than the bang & olufsen a8s, I know the below headsets should be much better than my Sennheiser cx300.

I would like exelllent build quality and nice to fit in the ear i want these to last at least 2 years. I would use thee 3 hours a day 5 days a week and would use them at 1&1/2 hours at a time.

I like crisp sound but alos like some base in there as longs as the base is about the same as the Sennheiser cx300 or a littile less thast ok but i like to still hear it so would the below headsets be any good for me what do you think.

Amazon
Shure Se210 £70 = ($140)
Shure E3C-N £84 = ($168)
D-Jays £70 = ($140)
Etymotic ER-6i Earphones £65 = ($130)

Ebay
Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro £75 = ($150)
Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 EB £75 = ($150)

or is there any other headsets you might think are good

also is there any fakes going about on ebay for the headsets above or is it ok to get them i know my friend got some bang & olufsen a8 and where fakes he sent them back and bought some from a genuine high street shop but what about these headsets ?

any recomended trusted ebay sellers in the uk
thanks for any help

I have the Ety ER-6i's and love them. The only thing is they may not be for you if you like enhanced bass. But I think they are perfect and use them every day. I haven't used the others, but Shure's are generally a good bet.

If I were you I would stick with either the ue super.fi 5 pro or super.fi 5 EB. the only thing about those is in terms of comfort they may not be the best for some.

The EB model needs to be broken in for a while (leave it playing music for a long time) before the sound changes to its final state. It is bulkier than the 5 pro model. I believe the 5 pro has supposedly a decent amount of bass but less than the EB.

The two drivers in these earphones I believe makes them superior to the others you mentioned.

I doubt that the shures are likely to be fakes since I haven't seen many around and the e4c fakes i saw on ebay were obviously fake looking. try to avoid them being sold from china with a person with low feedback and poor feedback.

I have never heard about ultimate ears fakes before.

support from ultimate ears you may have to inquire about via e-mail or phone since I don't know and i guess that would be to the U.S. .

The superfi 5pros will probably have less bass than the cx300

I have the e500s as mentioned in the sig and though they do have powerful bass enough which is enough for me I don't think they have as much bass as the cx300s but that might also be because the cx300s lack mid andhigh end definition and detail and a lot of other things.

I think ultimate ears have better build quality and they also have a replaceable cable. The shure earphone cables are not replaceable (only the extension cords are replaceable). The ultimate ears nozzle where you place the tips looks larger than the shure's nozzle so i believe that would make it more durable.

Anyways the shures will give you less bass than the ultimate ears super fi 5 pro and the ultimate ears is a better value for a dual armature earphone than the shure earphones which are single armature earphones (e3 or se 210 and even e4 or se310).
