View Full Version : What should I do about this?
I bought my iPhone shortly after Christmas and it was great. Today I noticed that there is a stuck pixel right above the 'Stocks' icon and it is bothering me. I've heard that I can exchange it for a new one? Is this true?
Thanks guys! :)

Yes, you can. I had a problem with my signal strength so I took it to an apple store (even though I bought at ATT) and the swapped it out for me. They used the same sim card and everything just gave me a new phone. I just had to resync my contacts and music back when I got home. Make sure you sync your iphone before you go to the store that way itunes will create a backup of your current settings to put on the new phone.
Great! Thanks for the quick reply, Shart.
So I went to the apple store and exchanged my iPhone for a new one. Everything went well. The genius just swapped my sim card from my old phone to my new one.
Now I have another problem. When I try to sync my iPhone with my iTunes it tells me that it is going to activate it. I got a message saying that the ATT activation is currently unavailable. Then I got a message saying that ATT has determined that my number is inactive and that I have to call ATT to fix the problem.
My number is not inactive. I can make phone calls on my phone, but I am unable to sync it with my computer so I cannot put any music or anything else on my phone. What can I do? Do I have to call ATT to resolve this problem, or is there another solution?
Thanks guys.
I tried to sync my iPhone once more and it finally worked. It seems as if the iPhone needed to be in service range which it was not in my previous attempts.
I'm glad that I figured this out. This whole experience of owning an iPhone has been a bit troublesome. I hope the problems do not persist so I can enjoy this awesome phone!
