Hello,
I was thinking about getting a room audio system for my iPod Touch and came across the XtremeMac Luna. Unfortunately Iīm not really sure if this thing works with my touch or not... according to the xtrememac website it doesnīt but as u can see in the review here on ilounge the Luna offers iPod dock adapters. Shouldnīt it be working with the touch and itīs adapter as well or is this not possible for some reason??

Maybe there is somebody out there who got a Touch and the Luna and can tell me for sure if everything works just fine or not!

Thanks

I can confirm that it does work with the touch. :D

After the disappointment of my 3G Nano not working with the Luna, I was very happy (and surprised) to discover that my touch does work with it. I've used my touch as the alarm every morning ever since I got it.

Wow, thatīs a big surprise cause if you go to the xtrememac website and go to "shop by ipod" than it doesnīt show the Luna if you click on the touch.... but if it works for you, thatīs great!
Does it also load while you are listening to music? I would think so, right?

I'm not sure I understand the question.

But the touch works in the Luna just like my 5.5G iPod does: plays music when docked, works with the remote, and works with the Luna's alarm.

Actually, the 3G Nanos and Classics do all of the above too except for the alarm.

I don't know why the XtremeMac site doesn't list the touch as compatible with the Luna. Maybe it has something to do with the rumors I keep reading about on this forum and others that there is a Luna 2 due out early this year.

Hm,

that'd be great news. You can find pictures of the Luna II on the net, and it doesn't look nearly as slick as the original. I might have to try to find one, although that'll be difficult over here in Europe :(

Nice. I'm thinking about getting a 32gb 2G iPod Touch, and I've had the original Luna Alarm for a little over a year. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy the new model for compatibility when it comes out. I've been using my old 1G Nano with it.

Will I need to buy an adapter of some sort, or should the iPod Touch come with one that will fit the Luna?

I would still be cautious - remember that the dock connector wiring changed on the iTouch 2g, and there are a lot of accessories that no longer charge the 2g and/or pass through the audio. When I was choosing speakers for my iTouch 2g at Best Buy, 80% of the units there gave me the "incompatible accessory" message.
