so i posted a topic just a day ago or so detailing how i couldn't get pics on my ipod and such, not to mention the mysterious volume changes from decent levels to cause strokes just by switching songs.
well, i took it back to good ol wally mart. first time they exchanged it, they did with no questions asked, not to mention not even a glance with in the box...which...i dunno, just ####ed me off, wishing i hadn't been so honest hahaha...i joke, but seriosuly...
i take the box to my car, open it up with the same glee as i did christmas morning only to discover an ipod with no plastic coverings and tons of scratches (none on the screen though)...i mean these scratches were more canyons than anything, i mean they were really deep. so upon returning that one, the manager had to be called and for about 20 minutes all of them tryed to convince me that the scratches weren't their fault.
but the manager was nice, so i got another....i opened it up right there in the store, examined it and it looked good...had a plastic covering and no scratches.
i got it home, plugged it in and then i see disheartening washed out blacks....nearly inverted...it was a week 47.
i woke up this morning, determined to get a good one and went back to walmart.
the rather short customer service manager with the frizzled hair, terrible make up, and bad attitude greeted me with a "what do you want?" ...i told her loud and clear that i wanted to exchange the ipod. She then tells me "no...what? exchange? no we cant do that with ipods" just then some lady behind a huge bin of items starts screaming at the manager saying "YES WE DO! WE DO EXCHANGE IPODS, SO EXCHANGE HIS IPOD RIGHT NOW" i had no idea of what to make of the situation, but the manager of customer services called electronics, got the guy to get me another ipod, and then she started going through the old ipod's box. she asked me about 17 times what was wrong with it, and i kept saying "bad screen"
she finally let me sign the receipt and i started opening up the box only to have her screech "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! NO....WHAT ARE YOU....NO YOU CANT DO THAT, TAKE IT OUTSIDE OF THE STORE" i said fine and started to walk away and she yells at me again cuz she didnt want the security to go off and "steal my precious ipod away"....i got back to me car, examined it and it looked even better than the last...i got it home, and i couldnt be happier....it sounds great, looks great and it could just be me and all the excitement of having one that works, but it seems more responsive as far as touching goes.
so my question is, i have noticed stuck (or dead, i dont know) pixels....i have counted four so far, and they aren't notice able unless you examine the screen thoroughly....but i wanted to know, how would i unstick these pixels, and what causes this kind of thing?
i honestly dont think this is worth taking it back again, and i really enjoy this one, so any advice as to how to unstick them would be awesome, thanks in advance guys.
and sorry about the novel...i just thought you would enjoy a good wally story
