Has anyone seen a guide to manually fix itouch problems?? I looked at rapidrepair and ifixit and saw nothing only for iphone and the other iPods. I wanted to know how to fix it because I got it for christmas, but with no warrenty. Is it still possible to get a warrenty?? I know that Apple has some weird things with warrenties. Also I was wondering if the Apple Care Plan was upgradable to cover more issues. Any help or redirection would be great. Thanks.

Well, I haven't seen any repair guides either - the iPhone was out approximately 3 months longer than the iPod Touch, so I figure we should be seeing some soon.
As for the warranty, I believe you can put in the serial number at Apple's website and it will tell you how much time you have left on the warranty. As long as you have warranty, you get get AppleCare until the day it expires.
Of course, query how you got an iPod Touch without a warranty in the first place...

I thought that when I buy it I don't buy a warrenty, i don't have a warrenty unless there is a 30 day return thing.

All iPods come with a warranty. It's in your box for reference. I think those guys at Best Buy, etc. are pushing the extended warranty which is just confusing people...
Anyways, here's a link to the warranties - http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/
And here's a link to the FAQ on service - http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/service/faq/

The standard warranty from Apple is one year that Apple will honor unless there is physical damage or waterdamage. The only guide for the iPod Touch I could find is at wwwDOTportatronicsDOTcom/guide. (Sorry it doesn't let me post a link).
The guide is not for the light hearted though. it takes 23 steps to fully disassemble it, if you need to replace the glass.
