Text Messages on IPOD Touch

Is there a way through installer that you can send and recieve text messages on the ipod touch:confused:

yes. I like to call it email. Seriously though all of the phone providers offer email to text messaging. For instance Verizon has <phone number>@vtext.com and it will land on that cell phone.

Yes, that's about the only way. Traditional SMS messaging runs over the cellular network, and since the iPod touch does not have a cell phone radio transceiver in it, that would be difficult.

Web-to-SMS and e-mail-to-SMS applications should work fine, however. You can even install the e-mail application from the iPhone (if you've hacked/jailbroken your iPod touch).

Well, you won't be able to receive any text messages but you can always use onlyitouch.com
