Q1 is best to let the battery go down to 10% and then charge it or does it not matter when to charge it i mean charge it anytime at any level
i want the best poss full charge out of it and the best life how would you recomend to do that ???
q2 have herd not to let the battery fully discharge or it can kill it ?
q3 I have also herd the sub poer adapter can cause damage to the battery over the computer usb is this true or just rubbish

well,
q1: doesnt matter.
q2+4: well, it is not not true. the absolute best way to keep your battery alive is to keep it above 40%. always. it will not KILL your battery if it drops (only if it would drop very, very low and I think the ipod prevents that) but it is said to reduce battery capacity over time. honestly, this is almost impossible. I discharge my battery entirely almost every time. but if you can keep it over 40%, go for it.
q3: don't think so. every official charger from apple should do the job fine.

If you won't use your ipod for a while, storing it at 40% is the sweet spot for preserving battery life. BlackWolf is correct. Operating conditions also are ideal at around 40%.
Although BlackWolf I recommend not to completely discharge it constantly , it will put unnecessary stress on your battery. This is not to say that its always bad to, because it actually is good once in a while for calibration.
There's an internal safety circuit that will screw up if under a low charge for too long.
Moreover, those (like me with my old gadgets) having the battery constantly at 100% on a charger is not good either!
Basic tips: Use your ipod! At least go through a full cycle every month to get the electrons flowing. If you're like BlackWolf I don't think that's a problem! :D As long as you aren't plugged in every single day at 100%, or discharging to 0% state every single day, you should be fine.
