The most stupid noob question ever (re: stop button?)

So I love my new Ipod Touch I just got for Christmas but as always there has to be something that a noob (<----me) can't figure out, so here goes...

When you are playing a song how do you stop it? I see pause and forward and reverse but what about stop? Where is the stop button?

Am I missing something here?

No stop button - pause is the equivalent since on a flash player it can start right up from the same location without lots of spinning and hold position without problems.
