After trying every picture i have on my computer, and believe me, it's a decent amount, only about 5% of them actually loaded onto the ipod, with an error message (maybe not so much an error message as itunes could have just been letting me know) stating that files incuding photo004.jpg were not synced because my ipod could not display it.

i can understand such things, i have pictures on here that are upwards of 6mb with resoltions of 1600x1600...so if a 3.5 inch display cant handle it, i will live without such a huge picture.

but i dont have a picture called photo004.jpg, it just doesnt exist on my computer haha, i even searched for it.

and as for the photos that did make it onto the ipod, most of them are torn with peices of them being very pixelated and blurry, while another section of the same image is just fine.

whats also strange is that when i move the photos around in the folders on my computer then try to sync them to my ipod again, i get the same message, but different pictures are loaded to the ipod and i ever know which ones it picks till i check it, so it loads random pictures each time.

welp, i just have to ask, since this is my first ipod and such, is there a preferred image format and size? if there is, that would make since, but if there isn't what is up with my ipod?

i'm not sure if this will help or not, but it's a week 45 ipod touch...

any info on this is greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance

Let me guess - you're running Vista? iTunes has an issue with syncing photos from Vista - something to do with permissions. Here's the workaround that I heard of - move a folder of your photos that you want to sync to a USB stick, and then sync the folder from the USB stick through iTunes. It should get around the permissions issue...

Hopefully, that'll solve it until Apple can get iTunes working better with Vista...

awesome, i appreciate the info.

i will try it in just a few seconds. but i forgot to mention that sometimes the volume changes randomly per song. like, to explain further, one of my songs will play very loud like it should, then if i were to go back to it after it's done it would be very soft and quiet, more so than any other music, but this happens all the time.

at first i thought it was just EQ settings that i was applying on my computer, so when i found a quiet song, i would boost the volume for that album (select which songs you want>right click>get info>change volume setting) and it would then sound just fine...but sometimes it changes and is quiet again...

i dont mind this most times, it's just when a song will go from a very decent loudness, to causing my ears to bleed when the next song pops up...

i also thought it could have been crappy conversions from my old WMA files, so i went through and re-ripped my entire collection back through itunes....that was a terrible 3 day excursion which i will not do again haha.

still happens though, is what im getting at.

what do you think?

Volume change I haven't experienced - I use sound check to keep volume between songs... Nothing else in terms of volume issues... Sorry...

yea my sound check is on too.

i may be picky about these kinds of things, but i really dont like playing a song on 3/4 volume then coming back to the same song (i like to play my guitar to metallica, so i tend to go back to songs i like) and having to turn it down to 1/2 volume just to tolerate it.

oddly enough it happens less times when i use third party earphones as compared to the stock apple buds....i mean it still happens on every pair i have tryed, but happens less frequently when using pairs other than stock...

then again, that could just be coincidence too haha, but hey thanks for all your help man, i now have pics on my ipod, haha
