Anyone have info on a good one ear phone? One that will take the Ipods stereo plug and turn it in to mono and go to one ear only. Myself using my Ipod to listen to Podcasts allot I don't need a set of ear phones (like the ones that come with the Ipod) and only using one of them on a two system set up is a pain...plus you loose allot of the needed audio from the other ear phone since some podcast have voices on right and left sides or move the voices back and forth from one side to the other. I would prefer one that fits over the ear rather then in the ear like the phones that come with the Ipod since they tend to hurt my ears anddo not stay in. Also one that has a volume control on the wire to the Ipod. Like this one, minus the microphone of course.

I've tried the over-the-ear ones on my phone for work and cant stand the way it feels up and over my ear. For the single ear ipod earphone i use this: http://www.tacticalipod.com/index.html
I dont listen to any podcasts so not sure how well it works with that, but it's great for music.

Nice....but Pretty pricey. Does it take the stereo conection from the Ipod and make it mono? Also does it have a volume control on the cord? Very strange the website has very little info on it. Makes me wonder why and it's made by some one else then seller that would allow a cheaper price. Does yours have a makers name or some sort of way to track down who makes it to save me the time in tracking down the maker.

I think I found who makes this
http://www.tacticalcommand.com
But can't find that exact model....yet. Normaly would just pay the price to get what I'm looking for but this
http://www.tacticalipod.com/index.html
place seems like they are over chargeing for it with little detail on the item and $40 price tag for some thing that to me shouldn't cost that much and don't mind doing a little home work to try to get it cheaper. LOL Ayone want in a group purchase...to try to get it cheaper? :shake:

Found a little more info to share. The Tactical Earpiece/Earphone as seen on this page
http://www.tacticalipod.com/index.html
looks like a standard hollow coil system that SoundWaves makes from the info I have found...so far. It may not be the best way to go if this type of ear system is used as this website compairs and explains.

I'm haveing some trouble finding SoundWaves though... if they are the makes of it to find out if the SoundWaves® UltraLight will work nicely with a Ipod. Anyone want to help please feel free too.

The SoundWave UltraLight is $74.99 !!!! Paying $40 for mine doesn't seem so bad anymore. I didn't see any markings or logos or anything on my set. It came in the box from the company with my receipt. That probably doesn't help you find who makes this thing, but to me that's not so important just as long as everything works, you know?

Sorry, forgot to answer your first question..... there is no sound control on the cord.
Hope that helps.

If you have an older iPod then Rockbox might be a solution for you as it has a balance control. You could then put all the sound into one ear.
