well, it should work with the touch. it might charge faster, but not much. and it won't cause any charging problems, either.

don't know about using it with a dock but I don't see why not... They all run off the same voltages etc. I use one adapter to charge all my iPods and they are all fine. Haven't seen a noticable difference in charging time, but then again I haven't counted.

Happy new year!

I've used the USB power adapter with a Touch without any problems!

Couldn't comment about it being faster or if it can be used with a dock.

It works for me as well. Some have more Amps to cause it to charge faster(see the one by Keyspan)

can anyone tell me what is the best dock to use witht he plug or usb charge

is there any on the market that lets you leave the headset in the ipod and then place it on the dock without removing the headset plug ???

That's an official iPod charger and will work fine. The dock plug protectors are a cool idea, too.

I haven't acutally seen a dock that let's you plug your headphones on at the same time, but in saying that I haven't actually seen any new docks in quite a while. Any dock will work fine with the touch as you have the adapter that comes in the Touch's box. If you have the money, just go for Apple's official one. If you want something say, black and sleek that compliments the Touch then have a look around and see what you can find... Just post back here of you want us to check it out. I can't recommend a good one as I've never used one but if you do find said black dock let me know 'cause I want one too! ;)

just bought one of the apples usb power adapter and the thing has the old usb cable in it the one with the push to squeeze release plug i like the ipod touchs cable where you can just plug it in and out as you dont need to remove the headset to remove the usb cable from the ipod and i wanted 2 cables as well mmmm
