unlocked iphone fault/warranty problem

hi i've got an unlocked uk iphone running on my old o2 simcard but during calls the microphone usually doesn't work ie the person i'm talking to can't hear anything. it's fine with the headphones in so i'm guesing that there's a problem with the microphone or a loose connection.

my problem is taking it back to the shop i bought it (carphone warehouse) in an unlocked state. i'm guessing they won't like it and will tell me where to go!

anyone with any experience of this or know anything i can do?

I'm having the same problem with the mic. Usually people can't hear me all that well, mostly not at all. I'm always having to use the headset. I too am Unlocked because I'm trapped in a TMobile contract. It seems to be getting worse and worse. And I sometimes I don't receive calls, just a 'new voicemail', no ringing...all happens in all areas, full Bars.

I'm on 1.1.1 --- Anyway to reverse it all to have the phone sent in and repaired? Or someone know what's going on and how to fix?
