View Full Version : mini vs. 3G iPod - viewed in the dark *link to PIC*

The mini certainly has a different backlight color - more bluish comared to my 30Gb 3G iPod, which is definitely more yellow. The mini might be a little brighter, but not much. I have a picture to share, but the insert image link isn't working.

the photo of the iPods in the dark is the third image in the album, and was shot in my house, (it's not web images put together). Choose "view slideshow" and "original size" to see large image.

Funny you should mention backlighting. I have two minis...one blue one pink. The blue one has a slight blueish tint to the backlight while the pink one looks bright white. I noticed when I compared the two tonight.

Not only does the regular iPod have a different backlight -- it's also in GERMAN!!!

lol that's not german. it's definitely swedish or norwegian. Betting on swedish.

I've never seen a mini display, but that font is a nice change from Apple's other font, that they use on everything that they have.

the language setting for that G3 iPod is . . . "Norsk". Andii is our winner.

The backlight of my iPod mini is definately white.
