first of all, a stronger material for the ipod would be better....i mean, i think it is possible to make a well designed mp3 player without the use of super-scratch sensitive material. Sony's MD players are well-made but they are firtually scratch and fingerprint-prone

also, a more functional remote....one with a navigational screen.

A remote with a navigational screen would be awesome. I have to use the remote when I'm walking to and from campus cuz I'm not an iPod-on-the-hip-holster kinda guy. It's usually tucked in my backpack or pocket. I can see how most people use the random function, or don't really need another "mini" iPod coontrolling the main unit in their hand. But still, a cool idea nonetheless.
