Iphone and itunes on my newer laptop

Hello,

Can someone show me how I can put itunes and iphone and ipod stuff for that matter on my new laptop I just got? By this I mean transferring all my playlists and content that is already on my itunes on my desktop pc? Thanks,

Download iTunes to your new laptop. Find a transfer program (there are a couple free ones out there) and transfer your songs from your iPod to your new laptop and then put those songs on iTunes. From there you can sync your iPhone to your iTunes library.

Is this the only way? What transfer program works best/easiest? Will that put the actual songs on my new laptop without me loading all of them from my backed up dvds? Will I be able to sync my ipod and iphone to both PC's when I'm done? I have my desktop but want to use my laptop at the same time....thanks,

oh and if I have them all added to itunes by creating a playlist and dragging and dropping the music files in that playlist folder in itunes, will it match up on my new laptop that way?

I use a program called Sharepod. I like it. The program is saved onto the iPod itself and when you plug in your iPod to your new laptop you start the program and the songs will start transferring to a folder in your new computer. From there you can just transfer the folder to iTunes on your laptop. Your songs will be exactly as they were on your old iTunes. Your old iTunes will remain the same and you will be able to use both computers.
