When in the iPod mode on the iPhone, I found the controls to be hesitant. I have to hit pause a few times before it will take. When I'm listening to a book from Audible, I find the track detail really small. Sometimes, I just want to rewind a little bit, and it's very difficult on that small line to drag it a little to the left, especially if you're driving a car. Also, when it switches to the landscape screen, it's very hesitant to go back to the portrait view, and sometimes gets stuck on the album art of the first song on the playlist. Anyone else having a similar problem with the iPhone interface?
Thanks!

yes, in short the ipod on iphone is somewhat crappy. They put all the focus into album art it seems but even that doesn't work properly.
My biggest annoyance with ipod mode is the on the go playlist. I loved being able to just select a whole album or individual song to add to the playlist. Now it brings up its own on the go song seeker or whatever and its just not the same.

Catpodder:
I have a similiar problem on my 2G touch. When I'm listening to music and the touch goes to landscape mode (e.g., if it's laying on it's side in my jacket...), it will sometimes get stuck and will not re-orient itself when I turn the touch vertically again. I either have to turn it off or double click the select button. Not a big deal, just wondering who else has this problem.
I haven't had and hesitation issues with my iphone in the ipod app. I have a 3G, maybe it does a better job?

I haven't had the problems you describe, but here's a tip I just found out about the other day. If you hold down the |<< button next to play you'll start rewinding through the current track. It's a bit easier than dealing with the scrubber.
