I had a 60GB video, and had alot of games on it: Texas Hold Em, both the Sims Bowling and Pool, and some others.

I now habve a 160GB classic, and notice that the 3 games above are now available for it. However, even though I synced, the "new" games wont load onto my Classic. Does
Apple really make you buy them again ?

Yes. This is very unfortunate. We can hope in the future games we buy will be "futureproof", but it would appear that this could be a danger in the future.

Any current new games and reissues will now work on the video, classic, and 3G nano, but any games purchased prior to the classic's release, or rleased from the area that says "5G video iPod only" can only be played on the video iPod, and if you want the games to work on the classic, you sadly do have to purchase compatible versions at full price.

And yes. This totally sucks.

I'm not one to bash Apple or the iTunes store, and I understand that things change, but when it comes to digital downloads on the iTunes store, Apple should be more forgiving. The Wii lets virtual console users redownload games, update games, etc. There's not even that many games on the store at the moment. Apple really should have allowed updates to games free of charge.

Yes, but if Apple let you re-download songs, then Steve Jobs would have to live in a normal 3 bedroom house! And he'd only be able to have 1 car!

You wouldn't want to do that to him, would you?! ;)
