Okay sorry guys I am extremely technically challenged. I am getting an ipod touch and i know you have to get a wireless router to access wifi from home. so i got a belkin wireless G router. My question is whether anyone knows how to set it up? Can i just plug it in to the wall and have it work or do i have to set it up on my computer and everything. My only interest in having it is to get internet access on my ipod touch. i dont need it for my laptop or desktop or anything.

The router should have come with setup procedures... you'd probably want to follow those so you can set it up correctly with appropriate security, etc.

Most routers work right out of the box in that you plug them into either your DSL or broadband modem via ethernet and they will begin broadcasting a wireless signal. The only problem is that this wireless signal can be used by anyone within a 30-60ft range. They could use your internet for free without you ever knowing it. You need to follow the proper procedure for setting up a WEP encrypted wi-fi network. That way Joe Blow who lives three blocks away won't be downloading porn using your internet.
