Hey Guys,

I know you have most likely heard this kind of post a thousand and one times but I am in need of your assistance. I just got the Ipod Touch yesterday and I accidently unplugged it from my computer and it left my Touch running funny and within a minute I turned off and then back on the Ipod and it was stuck on the Apple symbol on a blank black screen and it still is like that.

I know it isn't out of battery and I have no idea how to fix this...

I have been briefly scanning the forums for a solution and I was hoping someone could help me out in a timely manner.

Any assistance would be great, I had it less than 10 hours and it was broken :(

Try force restore.
Hold the power button and home button until it restarts.
Hopefully that works!

I Tried that, Didn't Work : (

It just shuts it off and when I start it back up it stays on the Apple Screen

Hmm. I wish I could help you but I'm not sure. Have you tried hooking it up to the computer and restoring it?

Yes I have and when I plug it into the computer it doesn't even recognize the Ipod is there.

I attempted a few times and no matter what the Computer and iTunes has no idea an ipod is connected to it and I still get the black screen with apple symbol.

Wow. I have never heard of anything like this. As I dont have a touch yet I am not familiar with any problems. Maybe try contacting Apple or wait for more replies on here. I am sure there are some people here that can help you. Best of luck!

I had a few MAC Guero guys from work take a look at it, they said it was hopeless to fix.

I guess I'll have to bring it back and return it. :( Hopefully everything goes well.

Sounds like you have a bad unit. I wouldn't worry about it - exchange and then bask in it's glory :D
