View Full Version : firewire cards that is not cambitable

is tehre any pc pci firewire cards thats not compitable with the new 3rd gen ipod

Sadly quite a few are. For example, the Audigy cards just plain have problems. Typically the following are recommended:

1. Adaptec 4300
2. Orangelink cards from OrangeMicro
3. Belkin Cards (not from Apple)
4. Any cheap card w/the VIA chipset.

I have an Audigy and it works fine.

I have a mainboard with buildin firewire
Asus a7v333, and it caused some problems for me. I changed to Tekram - Stlabs, and its working great now.

I have an SIIG firewire card ($24) and it works splendidly.
