This is my first case for my newly purchased iPod Nano GEN3 / G3 player and I am very satisfied with it.

Cost $20 from Amazon.com
The Good:
1) Protects the player very well - covers just about everything with openings to connect to the computer and headphones. The case is VERY SNUG and will not allow it to fall out. The leather seems to be tough too and it overlaps at the opening where you insert your Nano. So you will need to use a little force to get it into the case - which is okay.
2) The clear plastic film also covers the display very well, the plastic is fairly thick - so it should last a fairly long time. The display for the Nano has no interference from the plastic cover.
3) Nice to have a carabina to hook it to your belt loop. But is both good and bad (see below for why).
The Bad:
1) The only real issue is the plastic film that is good and thick, but it also covers the scroll wheel - not allowing you to move up and down the menu on the iPod. I took an Exacto knife and cut out the plastic around the scroll wheel. Now it works great.
2) The only minor issue is the carabina, good to have but the one they use is very weak looking and will not hold up to a good tug. So a good replacement would be a large Key Ring Hoop and then add a better carabina.
The Summary:
I would recommend this to anyone with a new iPod Nano GEN3 / G3 player - with only slight modifications to eliminate the plastic cover over the scroll wheel and changing out the carabina for something better.
Other than that a very good product.
