Just last week I was syncing my iPod with iTunes for Windows perfectly. A few days ago, I installed one of those automatic updates that Windows XP gives you. After this, I was never able to sync my iPod again. It aslo messed up my PDA HotSync, so I just reinstalled the software for the PDA and it functioned properly again. I tried the same for the iPod, by uninstalling the iPod Plugin, iPod for Windows, MusicMatch Jukebox, and iTunes. I then reinstalled all of these things, except I upgraded to MusicMatch 7.5 rather than 7.1. MusicMatch also told me to do this, but after all of that effort, IT DIDN'T WORK!! I ran the Fire Wire diognostics test on the iPod and it checked out. I then checked the Fire Wire port on my computer by both the Device Manager and trying another removable device that uses Fire Wire to interface with my computer, and the computer recognized the device. I've tried everything I can think of. Has anyone else experienced this problem. If so, how did you fix it? Thanks in advance.
