Wow -- Just saw the new reviews today (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/switcheasy-silicon-biscuits-for-nano-3g/) from iLounge on the new Switcheasy cases for the Touch (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/switcheasy-capsuletouch/), the Nano 3g (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/switcheasy-silicon-biscuits-for-nano-3g/), and the iphone (http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/ipod/review/switcheasy-capsule-for-iphone/)!

These are all IN ADDITION TO the recently-released hard-casing "Biscuits" for the nano. The silicon ones look really sharp! And they're $10 vs $25 .... I'll be curious to hear from anybody who's used one of these new silicon cases, do you like it better than the Snap-together Biscuit case for the nano?

I just got my White "regular" Biscuit for the nano (http://forums.ilounge.com/showpost.php?p=1181459&postcount=7) 3g -- after reading the excellent review here at iLounge.

I think it's beautiful ... and am sort of surprised by a lot of negatives cited by users in the White Biscuit thread here (http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=209972). (as for the Black Biscuit (http://forums.ilounge.com/showthread.php?t=207186), I ruled it out immediately due to the so-called peek-a-boo window, which, though cool and swanky, dims somewhat the brightness of the display of video, which for me was just not well thought out... but for those who love it, more power to you -- everyone has their preferences and style appeals.

Comments, Preferences, which is better for what?

I'll say that though my nano is well protected from dropping, and the screen cover is clear and durable, the case itself is so smooth & slick that it's really easy to drop... probably moreso than the nano without a case. I did attach the lanyard to the back of the Biscuit case, and tied it in a way that gives he a good hand grip on it, like using a digital camera. But I have to say, I was just saying today that I will probaby "mar" the beauty of the case to add some grip to the case so it doesn't so easily slip out of my hands...

And on that note, I wonder if the silicon case is really a better solution, since I presume it is slip-proofed in its touch.. though I just don't know. In addition, almost everyone, including iLounge editors, downrated the Biscuit for its cheap, flimsy, non-transparent click-wheel cover. In the close up photo series I took (http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/quicksite/switcheasy-biscuit-ivory/?action=view&slideshow=true), I did not put that little plastic thing on at all. That was before I started reading the comment threads. I'm new to ipods and this is my first one, so, I'm not quite clear on why such a cover is needed for the click wheel? Is it to keep out dirt? Is it to keep it scratch-free? Is it to keep out moisture? What's the issue? because without having had an ipod for X years, I don't know the wear & tear it will go through. the way I saw it, becasuse of the raised surface of the Biscuit Case in relation to the clickwheel it surrounds, this would keep the clickwheel from scratching if it falls.

But is it more the case of "what if i spill coffee on it?" or at the gym it gets all sweaty and that creates reliability problems? Curious how "must have" it is for that area to be covered.

So, I'm really anxious to hear any reactions to the new Silicon Biscuits for the nano. thanks!

it's on...it's on!
where to start...
i loved my RunAway from SwitchEasy, so much, that I became a reseller. I love the fact that people can have several silicon biscuits and it still be accesory affordable! :)
I have the red 3G nano and currently use the Mochi Biscuit. I switch back and forth between that and my Black Biscuit, depending on what kind of client I am seeing to demo the Nike+ and/or RunAway! Did I mention that when i drop my nano, i don't FREAK out like I normally would because the silicon gives it some bounce! Hey....gotta keep it safe and in good condition to resell on day on eBay when the new iPod comes out. LOL
Besides...everyone loves to match...Silicon Biscuits give you the ability to do so! :)
I even sell internationally, as SwitchEasy doesn't do so on their site.
I have built an awesome relationship with them because their company philosophy is really what made me do business with them in the first place.

music is love.

It's on indeed I just received my Switcheasy White/Ivory Biscuit case. I am very pleased with my new Ivory arrival. Kudos and a job well done to Switcheasy on their delictable Biscuits Hooray. All in All Switcheasy win tops over it's competitors because the case fits the nano like a breeze. And not only that it compliments the Ipod as well. Few minor irritants i sthe layard lace being hard to place on once the case hugs the Ipod.

hard? for me it was impossible! I had to re-open the case first to thread the lanyard thru. It is extremely snug and well-engineered.

Try putting the lanyard on before you slide the back cover on, much easier!

I've gone though several cases over different generations of ipods(1st & 3rd gen ipod, and a 1st gen shuffle). For my new Nano 3g video I purchased the white Biscuit.

The protection it offers satisfies all of my needs. The hard "GE Lexan Polycarbonate" material used for the case is sufficiently confidence inspiring. It is apparently the same material used for astronaut helmets. Cool.

The removable docking port protector never feels as if it is in danger of falling off. It's a nice tight fit. The fact that it is removable and docking is made seamless with the included universal dock adaptor solves the ugly docking situation presented by the new iSkin Duo. (I do however recommend that you place the small docking port protector in a safe place while you dock your ipod otherwise you might loose it. It's quite small)

The smooth clipless back fits my needs as I usually carry my nano in my pocket rather than a belt. Another cool "feature" is the ability to easily slide the back portion partially open with one hand to view the mirrored surface of the iPod back. This is handy in my case to view my newly fattened face from all the Holiday feasts I took advantage of. :shake:

I liked the black Biscuit for it's sleek looks, but the white Biscuit did not have any of the disadvantages of the dim screen and visible scratches. I usually try to be as hip and cool as possible and buy everything in black, but in this case the white Biscuit was the better choice. It really looks and feels like something Apple could rebrand as an Apple product.

All in all I give it an A. It could come with a better static protector for the scroll wheel. Otherwise it's as close to perfect as cases go for the Nano 3G.

Meanwhile, I have ordered the new Crystal Biscuit. If I can't have a black Biscuit with a clear screen, then i'll take a clear case to show off the natural black finish of my 8g Nano. My ebony queen will soon be able to show some skin.
