Hi All:

I'm looking quite a bit around now to find the "ultimate" case for me:
It has to protect the iPod (3G) as good as possible and i want to connect the remoteremote then. :) So i never have to take it out of the case during the day, except I want to switch playlist.
And can control it with the wireless remote.

Anyone here who has a recommendation??

Thanks a lot!!
Martin

I have been snowboarding for 10 years and don't fall often. When I do it's usually because I was trying something stupid and even then it's mostly on my butt/back. With all this information I found a good solution for my iPods protection. I got a Freestyle neoprene "fanny pack". No links as this item isn't iPod specific, and I'm at work currently. I wear this with the pocket on the front. Then I take the little black draw string bag that the ipod came in and put the iPod into that, then into the fanny pack. Then I hook up the remote and clip it to my inside jacket pocket. I have also made a snowboarding playlist filled with goodies like MxPx, Notorious BIG, and Linkin Park to get me amped up before park/pipe runs. Now the iPod has scratch protection (drawstring bag (Hey the exo3's are still sold out) and protection from falls (by the fact that I don't normally fall on my face). I have taken a couple of falls and even some faceplants (rails are hard!) My iPod has not failed me yet and I have gone 1 x week every week this season. Decent protection, ability to navigate playlists and all for about $12. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

I have the second generaton and I use the Marware Sportsuit and it does an excellent job for me while i'm snowboarding. I don't wear it when i'm in the park or the pipe in case I fall. But I will use it when i'm just going to do downhill or do some jumps. This case has worked great for me.

I keep the Ipod in a leather case and simply put it in my lower inside pocket of my snowboarding jacket. I wrap it in a fleece hat for xtra protection. I keep the remote part in clipped into my upper outer pocket for easy access. I will be getting a better skn/case but for now this system works like a charm. I usually dont fall face first and if so the pod is still relatively safe.

If you want to go a whole other route, Burton makes an iPod jacket. You can control the iPod from sleeve. Plus it is a snowboard jacket. Check it out here: http://www.burton.com/Burton/gear/products.asp?productID=729

This waterproof case looks interesting <http://www.lilipods.com/lilipods.html> and might work well in your situation.
