View Full Version : Mini shipping and waranty question

Being in the UK, and therefore very impatient, I decided to try and get a minipod shipped over here when they come out. I found this seller on ebay offering this, and have handed over my hard earned cash... and am still waiting! Has anyone else done this- or do you all think I have been scamed?

I was told I'll get it a week after release, but the seller doesn't know when that is. I payed for it on the 4th-5th of this month, so do any of you in the US who ordered one from apple around this time know when yours are going to get shipped- I assume mine will be around the same time if the seller ordered mine promptly.

Finally, do any of you know what the Apple's policy regarding the waranty is? Will it still be valid over here if anything goes wrong, and do I need any receipts/proof of purchase from the States? Not that I envisage anyhting going wrong...

From what I hear very very few people have them yet, they are officially released on the 20th so I dobut they could have got it to you yet, however its ebay: so you never know. No idea about warranty tho.

he will probably get it end of the week (20th) and so ship it onto you. you'll probably have it by the end of next week (27th). be warned though there is a 95% chance you will get hit by customs which means a (if you paid ?200 and he has declared it on the customs notice as such) ?50 tax/duty fee.
